This limited-edition mini football field display features an authenticated swatch of actual game-used blue turf cut directly from Lyle Smith Field at Albertsons Stadium—and this is Collectible #1 of only 1,000 ever produced. As the very first numbered piece in the collection, it holds a special place in the history of The Blue.

Since its historic debut in 1986, Boise State's blue turf has become the most recognizable field in college football—and the first non-green artificial turf ever installed in the world. Now, a piece of that legendary surface can be preserved and displayed forever.

The Turf

This authentic surface was in play at Albertsons Stadium before being removed in July 2026 to make way for the seventh edition of The Blue. Every piece cut from this field carries a connection to the games, players, moments, and memories created on one of the most iconic surfaces in sports.

Boise State even obtained a federal trademark registration for "the color blue as applied to artificial turf" in 2011, cementing The Blue as one of the most distinctive playing surfaces in American sports.

The Display

Measuring 18 inches long by 8 inches wide and mounted on an attached display stand, this piece is ready to showcase from the moment it arrives. A stunning acrylic overlay recreates the full football field in miniature, complete with Bronco blue turf, yard lines, hash marks, and end zone markings, positioned over the actual authenticated game-used turf beneath.
